Judith Delozier Autora en Programación Neurolingüística

Judith Delozier

From 1975, Judith DeLozier has contributed to the development of the field of the NLP. As a member of the original group of students of Bandler and Grinder, Judith has made important contributions to the development of numerous models and processes of the NLP. She has been a coach and a designer of programs of NLP training. As a co-author of Neuro-Linguistic Programming Vol. I (1980), with Robert Dilts, John Grinder and Richard Bandler, Judith was involved in the creation of one of the fundamental techniques of the NLP: The Reframing.

She studied with Dr. Milton H. Erickson and modeled his strategy to create and use states of trance and metaphors. This work is described in Patterns of the Hypnotic Techniques of Milton H. Erickson, M.D. Vol. II (1976), in which she is co-author with John Grinder and Richard Bandler.

In the book Turtles All the Way Down: Pre-requisites to Personal Genius (1987), in which she is co-author with John Grinder, Judith explores the interrelations between the NLP and the culture, the art, and the epistemology. The outcome of this work was “The New Code”, generating a movement towards a more systemic vision of the NLP, and a re-emerge of the interest in the work of Gregory Bateson.

Additional to the development of the perceptual positions, a model that has been one of the fundamental distinctions of the NLP, the contribution of Judith to the new code of the NLP includes: The perceptual training and the relationship between conscious and unconscious processes. Judith has been the responsible of taking the NLP to the area of cross-cultural competencies, being pioneer in the application of the NLP to the development of intercultural abilities.

The background of Judith in ballet and Congolese dance has taken her to promote the use of dance and movement as an instrument of the NLP. One result from this was the development of the Dancing technique S.C.O.R.E. Another result is the creation, with Robert Dilts, of the processes of the somatic syntax.

Judith has a Masters Degree (MA) in religious studies, a Bachelors Degree (BA) in Anthropology and religious studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz; where she met Grinder and Bandler. She has taught NLP all around the world, including Europe, Asia, Indonesia, Australia, Mexico, Central America, Canada, and the United States. She was also the president of Grinder, DeLozier, and Associates for over 14 years. Nowadays Judith is associated with Robert Dilts at the NLP University.

Judith is co-developer of many projects of the application of the systemic NLP, from modeling of leadership to health care and cross-cultural competitions. You can find her collaborations in Leaves Before the Wind (1989) and Map and Territory (1997), from which she is co-author with Robert Dilts.
